Email Project 2003-2004

Our email project is well underway.  We have heard from over 720 authors and illustrators.  We have heard from people from all across our country, as well as from  the United Kingdom, Canada, Puerto Rico, India, Australia, Argentina,  Israel, Singapore, the Philippines, New Zealand, Ireland,  Scotland, Wales, Japan,  France,  Germany,  Turkey and Malta.

This year to help us prepare to celebrate the 100th birthday of Dr. Seuss we are asking our new author and illustrator friends to tell us which of his books is their favorite.  We are charting these in the hall for all the students to see.

Here we are holding one of the maps that we use to find out where our author and illustrator friends live.

Bailey looks over two of the posters we received from Alaska. Joey and Stephen check out our graph to see which Dr. Seuss book seems to be the most popular among our illustrator and author friends.  Paige and Jessica look over some of the newest additions to our hallway display of letters.

We were very surprised and excited to receive these special shirts from our illustrator friend,  Catherine Benante.  You can visit her website at http://www.nectarstudio.com
